Know a used GPU's past before you pay for it.
NoCapGPU tests graphics cards and keeps a history report tied to each card's serial number. Buyers see exactly what they're getting. Honest sellers get proof.
Launching soon. Early access members get first pick of test meetups near them.

Buying used shouldn't be a gamble.
A used card can save you hundreds. It can also be a very expensive paperweight. Here's what goes wrong today, and what a report catches.
-
Dead under load
It boots and looks fine at the meetup, then artifacts or crashes the first time you game on it.
-
Not the card you paid for
A lower-tier card with a flashed BIOS, a swapped cooler, or the wrong card in the right box.
-
Hidden wear
Years of round-the-clock mining or running hot that never made it into the listing.
-
Repairs nobody mentioned
Reflowed chips, replaced memory, or a cracked board patched up just well enough to sell.
How it works
Think of it like a vehicle history report, but for graphics cards. Every test adds to the card's record, and the record follows the card from owner to owner.
Test the card
Bring it to a NoCapGPU meetup and we run a full diagnostic on our portable test bench.
Get the report
Results are saved to a report tied to the card's serial number, not to the seller.
Share one link
Paste the link or QR code into your listing on any marketplace. Buyers see the real results.
History follows the card
When it sells again, the next owner adds to the same report instead of starting from zero.
What a report checks
Everything a careful buyer would test if they had the hardware, the time and an hour to spare at the meetup.
- Identity
- The serial, device ID and BIOS match the model in the listing, so a relabeled card can't pass.
- Memory
- Every gigabyte of VRAM is written and read back to catch bad memory chips.
- Stability
- A sustained stress test watches for artifacts, crashes and driver resets.
- Thermals
- Core and hotspot temperatures under load reveal dried paste, bad pads or a damaged cooler.
- Fans and power
- Every fan spins up on command, and power draw stays where it should for the model.
- Ownership history
- Past owners, disclosed mining use, repairs, and whether the serial has been reported stolen.
A full test bench that fits in a briefcase.
Screenshots of benchmarks can be faked. A card running on our own hardware, right in front of you, can't. We're building a portable rig that runs the complete diagnostic on the spot at local meetups and trade-ins.
- Runs the card on our own known-good board, power supply and drivers
- Results upload straight to the card's report, untouched by buyer or seller
- Built to set up on a table at a meetup in a few minutes
Good for both sides of the deal.
If you're buying
- See test results from hardware the seller doesn't control
- Know about mining use and repairs before you meet up
- Check that the serial hasn't been reported stolen
- Skip the "trust me bro, it works" conversation
If you're selling
- Prove your card is solid with one link in the listing
- Stand out from listings with no proof at all
- Spend less time answering the same questions
- Close faster, with fewer lowball offers and no-shows
Questions
Is NoCapGPU live yet?
Not yet. We're building the tester and the report system now. Join early access and you'll hear first when test meetups open near you.
Why not just trust the seller's benchmark screenshot?
A screenshot can come from a different card, an old test, or an editing app. A NoCapGPU report comes from our own test bench and is tied to the card's serial number, so it can't be copied onto another card.
What if a card has no history yet?
That's every card at the start. Its first test creates the report, and every test after that adds to it.
Can a seller delete a bad result?
No. Results stay on the card's record. A seller can retest after a repair, and both results show up, along with the repair.
Which cards will you test?
Desktop graphics cards from the major brands to start. Tell us what you trade most when you sign up so we can plan around it.
